The Parable of the Fig Tree
Mark 13:28-31
28' “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. '
29'Even so, you too, when you see these things happening, recognize that He is near, right at the door.
30 Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 31Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. '

Prophecy ni Jesus sa pagkasira ng templo. Jesus also tells yung mga events including the birth pangs(paghihirap). Mapapansin din natin yung mga Disciples nag tanung kay Jesus on the signs of end times.

Now when Jesus teach us about parables, He uses props. At this parable, he mentioned again about this fig tree. He wants us to learn and understand the lesson.

Fig Trees are grown in Mediterranean Region.
In the Mediterranean region the fig is so widely used, both fresh and dried, that it is called “the poor man’s food.” The fruit contains significant amounts of calcium, potassium, phosphorus, and iron. - Britanica.com

Anu yung learn sa passage na ito? Yung “learn” from the Greek word “maqete (manqanw)” – manthano man-than'-o which means to understand.
Dito naman, sinabi na kapag ito sumisibol na yung mga dahoon ito na, padating na ang summer.
Kapag padating na ang summer. Anu ussully ang ginagawa natin? Bakasyunan portion nay an. Dami nang nag papapyat. Para makapag summer bud.

- Sa Spiritual naman. Anu ang mga gagawing paghahanda? Pagbabasa ng bibliya, pag join sa small group, pananalangin.
- Alam niyo sa buhay natin andami nating gustong paghandaan. Kayaga ng laggam.

Mark 13:29
29' Even so, you too, when you see these things happening, recognize that He is near, right at the door.
“these things happening” - destruction of the temple.
Ito na yung sagot sa tanung ng mga disciples sa verse 4
Mark 13:4
'“Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are going to be fulfilled?” '
Watchful – mapag bantay. Maging handa. When the bible said be watchful, it could mean that we should be alert and be on your guard. Keep Awake!
Kung titingnang natin anu ba ang wawatch ko? Anu ba naman ang gguardiahan ko, eh mananapalataya na ako ni Hesus. Tama ka, ikaw ay taga sunod na ni Hesus. In fact, madami kang ginagawang Mabuti, madaming kang mga outreaches. Actually pumupunta sa church tuwing lingo, nagbibigay naman ako ng tithes ko buwan buwan, minsan sobra pa nga. Kuntento na ako. Minsan napaka dali sa isang believer of Jesus to fall into this trap na ang behavior natin ang magsesecure ng ating pananampalataya.
Be Watchful on your action.
